Watch battery change & replacement instructions
- When to change the battery: When the watch stops, slows down, or the indicator (if present) shows a low battery.
- Professional replacement is recommended: To avoid scratches, damage to the mechanism or problems closing the lid.
- Water resistance / Waterproof: Opening the caseback may affect the water resistance. For watches marked water resistant, it is recommended to check the water resistance and, if necessary, replace the gasket.
- Avoid changing at home if: The watch is waterproof, has a screw-down case/crown, is particularly thin or valuable, or has a delicate finish that scratches easily.
- What our service includes: Opening the lid, battery replacement, basic function check and time setting.
- Service time: Usually completed in a few minutes (depending on the model).
- Helpful tip: After changing, keep the watch away from water, especially if it has not been water-resistant tested.
- Battery recycling: The old battery must be recycled at a special collection point.
